Controller Contact caps

1. Water and moisture protection (Waterproofing)
If water gets onto exposed controller contacts, a short circuit can occur, instantly burning out an expensive controller or damaging the battery. Flexible silicone tightly seals the connectors and prevents moisture from reaching the metal contacts.

2. Blocking dirt, dust, and sand
When off-roading, huge streams of dust and sand are kicked up under the motorcycle frame. Fine dust can penetrate inside the connectors. Over time, it absorbs moisture from the air and forms a conductive layer, which causes electronics malfunctions, throttle lag, or error codes on the speedometer.

3. Protection against corrosion and oxidation
When metal contacts (especially those carrying high current) come into contact with moisture and oxygen, they begin to oxidize. Oxidation increases the electrical resistance of the connection, and due to increased resistance, the contacts start to heat up significantly, and in extreme cases, the plastic connectors simply melt. Silicone insulates the contacts from contact with air and water.
